The Mission
The Lay organization intentionally work hand and hand with the pastor to encourage, motivate, and educate all disciples of the church to grow spiritually together and become true followers of Jesus Christ.
We shall engage in carrying out the spirit of the original Free African Society, out of which the AME Church evolved. In that spirit, we will seek out and save the lost and serve the needy. Members learn about the AME Church history, structure, organization, functions, and our great founder, Richard Allen. Every member is encouraged to become involved in all aspects of church training.
The Objectives
The Objectives are to meet the needs of our Lay members and implement strategies to train the best way we know how in Christian discipleship, Christian leadership, current teaching methods and materials, the history and significance of God's biblical principles, AME Church, and
social development. All should be applied to daily living.
