The Ushers are spiritual ambassadors for the church of God's ordained and organized body of believers. The Usher serves as a first representative of Jesus Christ for a worship service. 1 Corinthians 12:28 KJV *28 *And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues.

 

This scripture reveals important truths about the role of Usher/Helps in the church 1. The Usher ministry is ordained and anointed by God Himself. We have been divinely set in the Church for a purpose. 2. The Usher/Helps ministry is just as important as other leadership offices set in place by God. 3. Psalms 84:10 For a day in thy courts *is* better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

 

The Ushers are respectfully considered as the help ministry with many responsibilities. In the church we may be referred to as leaders, greeters, meeters, seaters, and helpers. There is never a dull moment for the help. The Ushers not only assist the pastor in accomplishing the goals for the congregation, but we function in a crucial public relations role for the church. The love for serving others and commitment to excellence in this area will manifest much fruit in the lives of others.
